Community
The Pacific Radiance Group believes in giving back to the society. We are proud to have participated in as well as sponsored a number of community efforts such as the ‘Vega’ project.
For the past decade, the 122-year old restored sailing ship ‘Vega’ has plied the seas of Southeast Asia on her mission of mercy to remote island communities in Indonesia and other South East Asian countries. During these voyages, the vessel’s crew of selfless volunteers collect donations of medical and teaching supplies from various ports and deliver these to remote islands within the region. These supplies go a long way in supporting local community development and are critical in ensuring adequate health and educational services for the inhabitants of these islands. In many cases, the future prospects of young children in these remote communities depend a lot on their access to these services.
Besides the ‘Vega’ project, the Pacific Radiance Group also actively supports and participates in the activities of various social welfare associations as part of our on-going efforts to contribute back to society. Some of the associations we have contributed to include the Lakeside Family Centre, the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Singapore and the MILK (Mainly I Love Kids) Fund.
