Environment
The delivery of Reliable, Relevant and Responsive offshore services does not have to compromise the Environment. As a Group, we are committed to continually developing and implementing measures to protect the environment beyond what is required by industry and national regulations.
In line with our efforts towards environmental conservation, the Pacific Radiance Group has pledged to cleaner and greener vessel operations as part of the Maritime Port Authority’s (MPA) Maritime Singapore Green Pledge. We are not only constantly introducing greener processes in vessel management and office operations but have also invested in more energy efficient vessel designs. Individually, each initiative improves energy efficiency in a small way but the cumulative benefits to the environment of all these initiatives will significantly reduce the impact our operations have on our Earth.
Besides focusing on improving our internal processes and the environmentally-friendly aspects of the vessel we operate, the Group also contributes to community efforts outside our organisation. We were the official sponsor of the Waterways Watch Society (WWS), a non-governmental organisation that works with the community to monitor Singapore’s waterways, helping to keep these free of pollution, while promoting awareness within the community as one of the sources of Singapore’s drinking water. The PR Group’s most recent contribution to WWS’ effort is the donation of a Safety Boat that will be used to conduct patrols in tandem with both public and private organisations.
In 2018 Pacific Radiance became a member of the Trident Alliance. The Trident Alliance is a coalition of shipping owners and operators who share a common interest in the robust enforcement of current and forthcoming maritime sulphur regulations. Further to this commitment, we acknowledge that these regulations are not only for the benefit of the environment, but also for human health and responsible business.
